Academic Curriculum

The academic session runs from April to March as per the regulations of the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP).
First Term (April - September)
- April: Commencement of New Session, Orientation
- May - June: Summer Vacations
- July: Classes Resume, Unit Tests
- August: Extracurricular Events, Independence Day
- September: Half-Yearly Examinations
Second Term (October - March)
- October - November: Festival Break, Unit Tests
- December: Pre-Board Examinations (Class 10 & 12)
- January: Winter Break, Practical Examinations
- February: Preparation Leave
- March: Annual Final Board Examinations
UP Board Examination System
Vidyakalash High School follows the stringent and comprehensive evaluation guidelines set by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP).
Evaluation Structure
- Continuous Assessment: Monthly unit tests to track student progress continually.
- Half-Yearly Exams: Conducted in September/October assessing 50% of the syllabus.
- Pre-Board Exams: For classes X and XII in December/January, simulating the exact board exam pattern.
- Annual Board Exams: Conducted by UPMSP in February/March for classes X and XII.
- Home Exams: Annual exams for non-board classes (IX and XI) conducted internally.
The evaluation emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical application, ensuring students are thoroughly prepared for competitive exams and higher education.
